Forget utopian, or even dystopian science fiction, here’s a story that will shatter your perceptions. I found Netfold to be one solid offering from Shomron, and was completely blown away by the way it had introduced ideas of the internet, gaming, role playing games, and so much more. The “NET” found in the story is not too unlike some of the hard hitting science fiction blockbusters from the past few years. It’s an adventure book that is simpler than say, “Hackers” but more complex than “Antitrust”. Those movies mixed together would form a union that is this novel.I found myself wrapped up in the “what if” questions that I kept asking myself as the story unfolded. Could I live within “NET” and would I want to? For those that live their lives on the internet, this one is going to pummel the senses, as it most certainly had me going and going. You’ll love it, if you like virtual reality, science fiction, and thrilling stories of what very well could be our future.
It misses one star, but only because it started to go off the rails at one point, but other than a minor gripe, this could very well be your next favorite book. It was definitely mine.

This story captured my attention from the moment I read the first paragraph of NETfold. I immediately fell in love with Troy and Flint and found myself immersed in their story. Troy is an incredible boy living in society set far ahead of our own. He built his own computer, who has it's own personality named Flint. Flint can take any form he chooses and is quite entertaining. Flint is intelligent, independent, and curious, which often leads to challenging situations.
Troy and Flint are incredible characters. The story flows beautiful and kept me engaged and entertained. The descriptions were all well done and created a beautiful image in my mind, especially the descriptions of the red lake. I found myself wishing I could experience these things also, which led me to wishing I could live the NET as the characters do. I loved the world they created in the NET.
The plot was wonderful. It was easy to follow, exciting, and very logical. I prefer clear and logical plot lines because I find them easy to follow and very easy to understand. I was able to keep everything straight as I read, which was impressive because there's a lot going on in NETfold.
This is a priceless and timeless story that teaches lessons, almost like a parable. I don't want to give much away because I want people to read NETfold for themselves and enjoy it as much as I did. As a matter of fact, my husband will be reading it tonight on his from our account because this is something he will absolutely enjoy. My 9 year old has expressed an interest after hearing me discuss the story with her dad, so she may be reading it soon also. This is a book the whole family can read and enjoy together. I'm very happy I had the opportunity to read this book and I hope to read more by this author.
This is a well crafted story and I absolutely enjoyed reading it from start to finish. It's a captivating and gripping read that had me engaged from the beginning. The story flows from scene to scene with ease, and the author shows exceptional capability when it comes to storytelling. There's a profusion of well illustrated scenes that really make you feel like you are right there in the story, and that's something I really look for in a good book.
The story had every element a good story should have. An exciting plot, attention to detail, but best of all fleshed out, well-written and well-rounded character development. This interesting and compelling work, as I said, had my attention from the start and there are twists and turns in this page turner that will take the reader on a very intriguing and compelling journey! Also, the writing style is uncomplicated which makes for an enjoyable read.
It's one of those stories that come along once in awhile that makes you want to read it non-stop until you get to the end. I'm giving nothing further away here. And this, I hope, will only add to the mystery and enjoyment for the reader!
I'd highly recommend this read to all fans of the Science Fiction & Fantasy genre. It wouldn't surprise me if I saw this on the Silver Screen. This Sci-Fi adventure is creative, imaginative and ingenious!
I'll certainly be looking forward to reading more from Gur Shomron in the future!
