This book should be titled "A Chiropractor's Guide To The Universe" as Troy Lawrence has no background in any of the subjects in which he writes about here and it shows. The book is full of misinformation and misrepresentation of data, and is written from the perspective of someone who believes the earth is 6000 years old and people once rode dinosaurs. For example, he claims that Noah's Ark was found on Mt. Ararat and that the natural rock formation there is actually petrified wood, which is blatantly false. Don't waste your money! I can honestly say that I learned nothing new at all from reading this book, and instead of gaining insight on the origin of the Universe, all I got was some old creationist arguments repeated over and over.Product details

This has taken me some time to get through this tome! This book on origins is fantastic. However, reader beware, it's not for the light of heart or easy reading. This book is definitely not for the casual reader. Some of the material is very technical w/ some high level math involved. That being said once you get past the technical math parts it's a very interesting read. A caveat I do not agree with Dr. Lawrence's use of other non-KJV bible verses. Again...it's still a great book. Not every book I own is KJV only. If this is your only book on origins it would be all you need! I really appreciated his take on the "Gap Theory". I can't believe some folks STILL believe this old wive's tale...but they do. Dr. Lawrence takes the "Gap Theory" apart nicely. The book's 400+ pages chocked full of great information. If you can handle some heavy lifting this book's for you.
Dr. Lawrence has put together a masterpiece here in this book. He talks of Origins as no other book I have read. He brings out new evidence that relate to determining how old the earth is and the conditions before the flood. He makes the case for the origins of matter, space, time and life not only with science but also mathematically, philosophically and theologically. Dr. Lawrence does an excellent job of making what is a technical subject very understandable. Secular science today ignores a lot of new evidences and the abundant data available in Scripture for understanding the natural realm, Dr. Lawrence does not. This book utilized scientific data very effectively and comes to some very sound conclusions. I will be using this book as a resource for my future studies in the origins area. I highly recommend this book to not only the Christian but anyone interested in science. Every creationist should read this technical, but highly accessible, book. Those who are not Young Earth Creationist persuasion, and those who fall in the opposite camp should also read this book.**** Very highly recommended!!
Eye opening! The book reads like a text or reference book, which makes it easy to move around to different topics. It is thick, and includes a lot of great information. I was completely fascinated as each topic unraveled. It is worth every penny!
This book is badly in need of an editor. I thought his attempt at reconciling the bible with scientific discovery might prove to be interesting, but I adnmit I had to give up in the third chapter - too tiring. Troy Lawrence may be an expert physicist or even an astrophysicist, but his book rambles on and on endlessly repeating phrases and arguments, as though he either thinks he is reaching out to dimwits, or is not sure of himself. Mr. Lawrence, get yourself an editor, get your book organised for (your tables are an illegible mess) and I might even try again. Sorry.
Very informative
This book has a lot to say to counter the widely accepted “Theory” of evolution. (Remember folks, it is still a theory!) Interesting look at biblical accounts explained in a plausible scientific way. Dr Lawrence gives one much to ponder. Have the earth & humans been in existence for thousands of years & not the readily believed millions of years? Did people used to live hundreds of years & not the short 80 or 90 years we cling to today? JW.org has answers to these questions & many more. Our Creator has a plan for the earth & mankind that will very soon be a reality. Could our planet be restored to the perfect paradise as originally intended? Could man actually live forever in perfect health upon it?
